What a lovely month for weddings. These pictures are from the last 2 weeks of August. What beautiful weather our brides had. There was quite a variety of themes and styles. Thanks to all our brides for letting us design their flowers.
Arla and Ben Wedding
Lovely garden style bouquets. Soft frilly pink and white astilbe with beautiful pink and white dahlia. Bouquets were wrapped in burlap with lace accents. Custom designed wrist corsages, soft and delicate design flowers were placed on burlap bands. Simple, but elegant boutonnieres with astilbe and wheat accents.

Green and white wedding flowers are always a wonderful combination. Here Lili used white dahlia, white gerbera daisy with the contrasting black centers. Accenting with green spider mums, green hypernicum berries, white alstromeria and white spray roses. Bridesmaids were similar flowers; flower girl carried a small carnation ball.
What a beautiful combination of white flowers. Heather chose all her flowers, wanting only the whitest flowers available. We used white cinnamon smelling stock (my favorite), white spray roses, white wax flower, white phlox, white baby’s breath, white gerbera daisies, and white carnations. We surrounded the bouquets in a soft blue/grey dusty miller. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped in a sheer grey ribbon with pearl accents.
Megan and Derek
Carnations are a wonderful flower to use for weddings. They are extremely fragrant and long lasting. Megan chose a red and white theme for her wedding. Large posy style bouquets in red and white carnations for both bride and bridesmaids, encircled with the bright rich green of leather leaf fern.
Danielle and Stephan
Bright and Bold was the theme of this wedding. The brides’ bouquet had white and yellow dahlia, white and purple freesia, and green spider mums. We wrapped in white satin ribbon with pearl accents. The bridesmaids were similar with yellow satin ribbon and pearl accents.
Hillary and Daniel
Lovely wedding to design. Danielle had great ideas for a totally different style. The brides bouquet had fragrant lavender, purple scabiosa flowers and grey pods, white dendrobium orchids, and wheat stems, all wrapped in burlap with pearl accents. The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of lavender wrapped in burlap with pearl accents. Boutonnieres and corsages complimented the bouquets with the same flowers and wrap.
Becky and Brian
A truly elegant wedding. Becky chose large white phalaenopsis orchids in a cascading bouquet. They dramatically cascaded from a posy of ivory roses and white calla lilies and encased with curved aspidistra greens. Bridesmaids carried similar posy style with ivory rose’s phalaenopsis blooms and aspidistra.
Maya and Andrew
Maya’s wedding had a beautiful setting. Ceremony and reception was at the beautiful VanDusen Botanical Gardens. She wanted a garden theme style with soft pink and cream flowers. We chose for her bouquet pink dahlia, white veronica, pink spray roses, white wax flower, succulents, and grey dusty miller. The centerpieces had pink snapdragons, white lisyanthus, bells of Ireland, pink astilbe and feather eucalyptus.
Bright and pink was the theme of Nicoles wedding. We used bright pink roses and spray roses. Among the flowers the brides mother made the wonderful cedar rosettes. What a lovely personal touch.
